Lawrence McQueen, Clothier and Stylist Kimberly Aitch

McQueen's fashion journey began in 1989, where he was known as the "The Tie Guy," selling preowned vintage clothing procured from local thrift stores. The Tie Guy evolved into new current offerings operating out of his home studio in the 3rd ward and expanding to his current retail store location in 2000. A native of Detroit, Michigan, McQueen has a BA in Marketing and Communications from Jarvis Christian College and is proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. He is also a licensed real estate investor, forex/options trader, and cryptologist (bitcoin) investor and serves as the co-owner of the wine bar, UnWine.

In recent years the modern day renaissance man known simply as McQueen merged his business with celebrity beauty stylist Kim Aitch to combine their passion and craft for styling and accessorizing Houston's upper echelon.

McQueen and Kim have known each other for over 30 years and have become recognized as a dynamic duo of style, with each one bringing their own eclectic flare from their perspective industries.

"To say that Kim serves as the curator and image consultant for the boutique would be greatly downplaying all that she has done to take the women's selections to new heights. Her knowledge and passion for the beauty industry sets her apart from other stylists because she truly believes that every woman is uniquely beautiful and its reflected in her work," said McQueen.

Like McQueen, Kim has been in the spotlight for over a decade and has received many honors and awards including the 2014 Living Legend Award by Bobby Boss, the Crème of Nature International Hair Competition and was named one of the most influential hairdressers of the century by Franklin Beauty School.

Her hairstyles have appeared in magazines around the globe such as Essence, Ebony, and Modern Salon to name a few.

Together, they have been named "One of Houston’s Most stylish couples by the Houston Chronicle.

"Working with McQueen is such a gift. Our fashion sense builds on one another and I have learned so much by just watching him create. His patience and willingness to let me develop my gifts and offerings speaks to his giving spirit and love of watching people soar," said Kim.

The power couple is also very active in the community and actively support such charities as; Autism Speaks, Wounded Warrior Project, Hapi (Haitian Artisans Peace Intl), World Vision, Water.org, 2nd Chance Life, Career Gear Houston, St. Jude's Research Hospital, and Habitat for Humanity.
